When 'studying while Muslim' is probable cause.

This article talks about the new challenges that American Muslims have to face when studying in universities because of the religion they practice. Documents have been obtained that reveal that the New York Police Department has been engaged in a weekly surveillance of American Muslim college groups at 16 schools across the Northeast, including New York University, Yale, Rutgers and the University of Pennsylvania. The NYPD has sent undercover officers to spy on their conversations because the police department thinks thay might have information about terrorist plans. This is completly wrong and these actions violate the priciples that the US believes in, such as freedom of religion.

Mediocre GOP Candidates Provide Problems In 2012

At this stage in the primaries, many note-worthy Republicans are playing with the idea that maybe they should find a new candidate for the GOP. The Republican candidates are having a lot of trouble garnering votes this year and at this rate there is little doubt that with these candidates, the Republicans will lose the main election. Many people seem to have the opinion that whoever this new guy may be, he can't be worse than Gingrich or Santorum, and he could easily do much better than Romney. As Tomasky states in the article, there is still plenty of time for the GOP to find a new candidate and have the public accept him.

    Nuclear Tension

The nuclear technology in Iran has put the world on edge. Does this mean it is only a matter of time before global war breaks out? Perhaps not, but this article specifically considers the issue of oil. Even if Iran does not plan on using their nuclear technology offensively, America, as well as many European countries, are unsettled and have responded aggressively to the issue. Iran, in return, responded similarly. America is well known for its interference with global affairs and is keeping a close eye on Iran. Should we interfere even if this hypothetical, upcoming war does not involve us?

Does Mitt have Michigan in the Bag?

With the latest Gallup poll awarding thirty-six percent of the GOP ballot support to Rick Santorum, it seems like Gov. Romney is going to have to fight for Michigan. Gov. Romney has felt the need to invest his resources into getting television ads on the air reminding the good people of Michigan of his background and ties to the Great Lake State. Some residents aren't supporting Romney because they claim he is not "conservative enough" while others disapprove of his lack of support for bailing out the auto industry in Michigan. Whatever the reason may be, conservatives in Michigan are keeping their options open and Romney on his toes.

New Rules for Vending Machines in Schools

The Obama administration has come up with some solutions for the unhealthy foods sold in the vending machines in schools nationwide. They have decided that taking those snacks away would influence too many schools in many negative ways, specially financially to completely get rid of them. Instead they are working on replacing the food with better foods. It has been showed in studies that kids can consume up to 50% of their food for the day at school so it is necesary that the kids eat healthy that's why I think the Obama administration is making much needed progress.
